About Oscar
Oscar is looking for a very special person who can help him find his way in the world. Please DO NOT apply if you have anyone under the age of 18 living in the home or regularly visiting, or have any other animals in the home.
Oscar finds the world to be a bit of a scary and stressful place, which often manifests in him barking or if really uncomfortable he may display aggression.
Oscar is being trialled on behaviour medication to help with his fears.
Oscar may suit your home if you are regularly home more often than not, and understand that he won't enjoy going out and about everywhere with you.
Oscar finds other dogs scary and will bark or show aggression towards them if they are too close to him so he needs to live in an area that doesn't have many dogs near by and have an owner that feels comfortable managing him if he sees other dogs.
If your home sounds like it could be suitable for Oscar please send through an enquiry and our team will get in touch.
**Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Craigieburn. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you. www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ...because they all deserve one!
