About Duke
Hi everybody, my name is Duke!
I am a cheeky young Beagle who has just turned 2 years old
I am a bit of a goof and full of energy, but I love to have a good cuddle and I enjoy laying in my bed, wrapped up in my blanket watching your favourite TV shows with you.
I can be energetic, so I will need someone who is able to help me burn off some of my energy when I have it. I do like to play with other dogs and defintely enjoy having playmates.
I know how to sit, shake and wait, until I am told go but do need to be reminded of those instructions as I can get easily distracted. I am also learning bed and lay down. I need someone who is patient and can continue my training with me. I love being in the company of people and I am very well behaved around guests, however I am great at keeping myself entertained while you are at work by playing with my toys and sniffing out my treats.
I like being able to be inside with my family or person but happy to be outside playing with my fur siblings if your at work.
I am good with small children and would love to have some to play with in my new family.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
