About Lex
❤️🐶❤️ ATTN: NSW/ACT – Lex is in search of his forever home ❤️🐶❤️
During September, Lex a 10 year Pug cross was surrendered to an animal welfare organisation in the ACT due to changing family circumstances. He had been neglected, was grossly overweight (16kgs), could barely walk and was significantly impacted by untreated arthritis. 😕
That welfare organisation took good care of Lex, including undertaking two medical procedures (hip surgery and soft palette), and started him on a diet to lose weight.👏
However even with all that, Lex’s affectionate and friendly nature shone through.🤗
Given that Lex needed rehabilitation after the medical procedures and needed a long-term medical management plan to be assessed and put in place, the welfare organisation kindly agreed for us to care for Lex and find this beautiful boy a loving forever home.
Information about Lex (please read carefully):
▪️ AGE: 10 years old
▪️ BREED: Pug Cross
▪️ LOCATION: Sydney/ACT
▪️ KIDS: Best suited to older children or teenagers
▪️ CATS: Untested
▪️ MEDICAL NOTES: Lex suffers from arthritis which is easily manageable by his new family by providing Lex with monthly Synovan injections, a daily Glyde Chew and pain relief medication for the rest of his life. While none of the medication is expensive, it is a lifelong commitment to ensure this gentle boy gets to live the rest of his life pain free. Lex will also need to be on a strict diet to ensure unnecessary weight does not impact on his quality of life.⏲
▪️IDEAL HOME:
Lex is a beautiful, attentive, gentle Pug cross. He loves and trusts people and follows his foster parents around the home all day keeping them company both in the house and garden. 🥰
He enjoys sitting in the sun and watching the day go by and at night, he loves sleeping on his own little bed, next to a person! Lex gets on well with his foster siblings and enjoys their companionship as well.
Lex is house-trained and is great with routine. It would be preferable to re-home him to a quieter home with minimal steps, with a semi active family whereby someone is around more often than not, and with a another four-legged companion of similar age.🏠
Lex has plenty of love to give and we know that there’s loving family that would be perfect for him. If you believe this could be your family, we would love to hear from you.❤️
