About Iggy
**FOSTER TO ADOPT**
I was surrendered to Lort Smith after I was hit by a car and sustained a broken front leg. I have been in rehabilitation for the past six weeks and recently had my post operation x-rays.
The veterinarians have said I am ready to find my forever family - just in time for Christmas!
Important things to note:
- I have to have limited activity for the next six weeks.
- My foster to adopt carers need to help me build up the strength in my leg.
- This means that I am not allowed to run, jump or be boisterous.
When I am fully recovered my family will need to be able to keep up with my energy levels. I need long daily strolls around town, lots of engaging activities and really want to be enrolled into obedience training so I can become the best doggo in the neighbourhood.
I would love to be inside, part of the family and be able to fall asleep in front of the TV, watching my favourite TV shows with my loving human companions.
For now, it's best if I am the only animal in the household. Because I am still a young dog, I haven’t really learnt appropriate ways in which to interact with other animals, I am happy and friendly - but I tend to get a little over excited. I would love a family they can help me work on this.
If you believe I sound like the perfect companion for you, please call the Adoption Hub to find out more about me.
Medical notes
- Fracture repair and currently on medication for anxiety.
- Six week additional rehabilitation.
- Need regular vet checks while in Foster to Adopt program.
