About Casey
Hello potential new family!
My name is Casey and I’m an 8 year old German Shepherd
I may be middle aged but don’t let that fool you, I have the energy and personality of a pup less than half my age. I absolutely love getting outdoors, exploring the world and smelling everything that it has to offer.
The only thing I love more than a good walk (and my hoomans of course), is my ball. If you throw a ball… any ball! It could be a tennis ball, soccer ball, you name it, I’ll chase that sucker down without a doubt.
Now (I’m sorry, but it’s important) for the serious stuff. I realise I have big, soulful brown eyes, an adorable face and people fall in love with my beautiful good looks at first sight, but my new family will need to know that i have never been socialised with other dogs so therefore must be an only dog.
I also have a fluffy as coat so my owners will need to know how to keep me looking as beautiful as can be with my shiny coat. I do like a good brush but i think that's just cause your spending time with me doing it - i love my hoooomans!
Also because of my high energy and love for my hoomans, sometimes, I like to walk and run around your feet in the house, which may cause you to trip or stumble - but rest assured if you do i will be there to give you big kisses and cuddles. But my foster mum says that i many not be suited to some small kids who don't like to be bounced off me accidentally, but I think I’d be great for a family with kids over 8, as my high energy will keep the kids (and me of course) very entertained!
Okay, time for the last serious note. I do enjoy sleeping in the house and being in the house while my hooomans are home - i just love to hang out with as much as possible.
So just a reminder I do need to be an only dog (cause i never got a chance to learn how to be friends with other dogs)
Before you go, there are a couple more great bonuses about me. More you say? I know, how could I get any better? As much as I love playing and running around, when it’s time to relax I love curling up next to my hooman for a good snooze. I can use a dog door (but it would have to be a big one so i'm thinking opening the door would probably be better for me) and I’m cat friendly.

If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.

Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
