About Rupert Adderley - checking out his new home!
Please note: Rupert will be rehomed with another dog for company.
Rupert is a sprightly older boy, full of energy, who loves to hang out with a human. He is very friendly with other friendly dogs and likes to cuddle up with people or other dogs on the couch. He is quite the cuddle-bug and likes to sit on a chair with a human, or even on a friendly lap.
He is still getting used to using a dog-door, but asks to go out when he needs a toilet break and with further training will be quite happy to use a dog-door 24/7.
Rupert walks happily on a lead, with other dogs, and does not pull. He is curious and friendly when meeting other dogs on leads and can easily handle a 40 minute walk. He is very keen to join in when his two foster brothers play chasey and will run around the house like a young man. He has lovely manners with the other dogs and is gentle when accepting treats. He will sit for his bowl and wait until given permission to eat. He does not usually join in when his brothers bark, but will run to the front door to meet guests with a friendly, excited welcome.
Rupert is a sweet little boy who is eager to please and would enjoy a home with another friendly and playful dog. He would probably be best suited to a home where he has a human for company for at least part of the day.
Thank you to Heather of Dixon Dog Photography for the fantastic photos of Rupert.
Please note: our dogs are not available for interstate adoption. We also do not adopt to people under the age of 25 years.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
