About Annie
Annie is a medium-large, female, Irish Wolfhound mix who's apporoximately 2 years old. She is a bundle of energy when it's time for ball or stick play, but she's also happy to lounge around at home during downtime.
Annie has shown a preference for human company over that of other dogs, although she does interact with them when there's play to be had. She can be very competitive, and prefers this type of interaction over 'fun play' with her canine pals. Ideally, introductions should be made slowly and in neutral, outdoor territory to relieve any anxiety.
Annie just loves to get wet, and whether in the waves or flat water she is an enthusiastic swimmer. She loves her rope toys, sticks, balls and playing fetch, especially when it's combined with water play.
She has shown no interest in his carer's cat, is toilet trained, travels well in the car, and has good recall when off the leash. Although she is quite good on a leash, she does tend to pull so occasionally requires correction.
Annie likes to do things her way and can be a little stubborn, but she's an intelligent girl and is learning that sometimes her human knows best. She is used to being an inside/outside dog and currently sleeps inside on her dog bed. Although she hasn't attempted to escape the yard where she's staying, she has an impressive leap so a future home with secure fencing is a must.
So if you are looking for an affectionate, loyal bundle of energy with a lot of love to give, Annie could be the girl for you.

Location: Our dogs are in family foster care in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
All of our dogs are desexed, vaccinated, micro chipped and heart worm treated. There are no exceptions.

Adoption Process
If you should choose to adopt a dog from SEQ K9 Rescue Inc:
You will be asked to complete an Online Adoption Application.
Completing this form helps us to determine if the dog you are applying for will fit your family. Some dogs have special needs so we may be looking for a specific forever home.
After you have completed the Online Adoption Application, we will have the information to determine if you are a good match for the dog you are applying for. Sometimes we may recommend another dog we have in our care.
Next, we will arrange for you to meet the dog/puppy.
We ask that you bring along your children and your dog to the meet. A yard check (or yard photos) will be checked and only then will approval be considered.
Please remember sometimes there are several applications for the same dog so this process may take up to a week.
If your application is approved, now is the time to invest in a dog harness, led, bedding and toys.
All adoption fees must be cleared before our dogs can be collected from our carers. Our carers are not allowed to accept cash. Bank deposit/transfers only.
We also offer a 2 week trial period - if your new family member is not settling please contact SEQ K9 Rescue Inc via email immediately. We are happy to assist with training or advise if the dog has not settled.
If for any reason the dog needs to be returned to the rescue organisation, the adoption fee minus a $50 non-refundable deposit will be refunded to you. Your refund will be returned via bank transfer within 10 working days.
If the dog is returned after the trial period generally no refund will be made.
Interstate adoptions may be requested to supply additional information and photographs of the proposed environment for the dog. Interstate adopter must pay transport costs in addition to the adoption fee.
If the dog is to return from an interstate adoption, the adopter is to pay all costs to return the animal to SEQ K9 Rescue Inc in Brisbane.
