Hugo is a loyal and loveable boy who wants nothing more than to be by your side. He has known how to sit, shake and lay down since he was 4 months old however true to his maremma side, he doesn’t always like to come when called 😆. He is a lap dog in a big dogs body ( a long body) and if you are sitting he will try to sit in your lap. He is unlike a typical maremma , they can be aloof and sometimes guarded, Hughsey isn’t, quite the opposite. Perhaps the friendliest boy you will ever merry, lives kids. Hughsey is extremely warm and affectionate and a little lazy. He would be perfect for a large tiled home on sizeable land.
He is excellent with kids, a great stranger alert, he will bark to let you know ( just once ) . He is best suited as a mainly inside dog, he does shed, he will need regular brushing . We would prefer someone who is used to this type of dog and will know what to expect.
