Conan ~ 5yo Husky

Meet Conan, a very handsome and regal looking 5-year-old Husky. As soon as you see him, it’s near impossible not to fall in love with his beautiful wolf-like appearance and of course those blue eyes! He may have a similar appearance of a wolf, but he’s really a cuddly bear. A goofy, affectionate boofhead is the best way to describe him. He’s outgoing and loves meeting new people, his philosophy is ‘The more friends the better’. He especially loves children and is good with them, but at times he can get caught up in the excitement and forget about how strong he is, so supervision around small children will be needed.

Conan shows no sign of aggression towards other dogs, although his size and excitement can be a bit overwhelming at first for some dogs, especially small ones. Being a typical Husky, when meeting new friends, he likes to ‘vocalise’ his excitement in grunts and sometimes howls, but once greeted, he calms down and focuses on playing or getting pats. Conan has spent most of his life living with other dogs, so would be best if he has another dog to play with and for company. He has been exposed to cats, and loves to try and play with them, whether the cat appreciates it, is another story. He will need regular brushing, especially when he’s moulting, but as they say, ‘dogs don’t shed, they emit magical fibres of joy and love!’.

As a working breed, Conan loves nothing more than to go for a run so high, secure fencing is a must. He is a smart boy as well, and knows basic commands, but in a social situation where there are friends to make, he can sometimes have a hard time concentrating on commands, so further basic training may be needed. He is also very strong on the lead and so will need more training in this area.

Conan needs a fair amount of exercise and mental stimulation so if you're an active person/couple looking for a companion, Conan could be the perfect addition to your family!

Conan's adoption fee is $300 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.
