Medical Notes - Touch was born without the globes of her eyes and is therefore completely blind. She will be having surgery next week to remove and debris inside her eye sockets and her eye lids will be surgically closed. This will prevent any ongoing issues with her eyes, and they will no longer require any medications.
Ready to leave care - In 2 weeks time once she has been desexed and had her eye surgery.

Sweet little Touch was found outside by a good samaritan who was very concerned for her health. She was handed into a local veterinary clinic who called us to see if we could help. Touch arrived in horrific condition, was very underweight, and had huge amounts of pus coming from her eye sockets. Touch improved quickly with some TLC and medications.

Touch is an outgoing and confident little girl who at times still makes us wonder if she can see the world. She definitely can't see a thing but this doesn't slow her down at all and she is always running around getting into mischief. Touch is a sweet girl who loves her humans, but asks for her new forever family to respect the fact that picking up blind cats can confuse them greatly. Touch accepts being held and cuddled closely but doesn't like being quickly picked up and moved around her environment. She knows were her things are by her great sense of smell and feel and when you pick her up and move her she becomes disorientated and has to find where everything is again. Because of this, Touch would prefer a home that is less chaotic and with either no children, or older understanding children.

Being a special needs baby Touch (and us) have a few requirements of her adoption:

• She must remain as and INDOOR ONLY cat at all times for her own safety

• Her new home must have secure screens on all windows and doors

• Touch would prefer a home with older or no children

• She MUST go to a home with another friendly feline for companionship

• If her new home has internal stairs they must be secure with no chance that she could fall off of the side of the stairs, or between the stairs themselves
