About Jasper
Large Blue Greyhound
Not cat friendly
Fulltime/ Part time workers
Family with children over 8 years of age.
Jasper is a big softy who is super affectionate and loves a cuddle from everyone. He is a super chill dog, nothing seems to bother him or agitate him.
Jasper is a big boy, he is very gentle, the "BFG of the hound world", the you might say and gets on with everyone, and just loves kids! So in saying that Jasper would be a good family member in a family with kids over 8 years of age, he would be their big buddy!
He is a great at walker on a loose lead but can pull when he gets excited, loves the park and gets along with other dogs who are large dog friendly with careful and considerate introduction. His foster carer has been socialising him on his walks, and at first he was a little too excited by other small dogs, but has become accustomed to them.
He travels well in the car, lays down straight away and gets comfy. He sleeps like a dream - no waking up in the night to go to the toilet. He is a solid sleeper!
He is toilet trained but he doesn’t really have ‘signs’ that he needs to go (e.g. pacing), his foster Mum just monitors him and if he hasn't been out for a little while she lets him out.
Jasper would be happy either in a home alone or with another medium to large dog, another hound possibly.
He doesn’t have a huge appetite - he usually leaves biscuits in his bowl at the end of each meal so he eats until full. He isn’t super food orientated but is always inquisitive of what his foster Mum is cooking and loves to stand next to her in the kitchen.
He is such a smoochy dog who loves to cuddle up close on the couch, but can also be independent and left for a few hours as well, and is in exactly the same spot where he was left!
He loves his foster Mum and follows her around when she is home, having to know what she is up to.
Jasper has a cute wonky ear that sticks up right that you’ll be able to see in a few photos. He is absolutely adorable and would make the bestest family member!
