Denis is a gorgeous big goofball that is unsure of his size. He is smart and just wants to be part of the family. He can be gentle and has a wonderful nature. He loves people and will follow you everywhere, at times being so close that he stands on the back of your flip flops. Denis would be good with children of all ages and dogs of similar size. He currently has 3 children aged 2, 7 and 8 with him regularly. He has not been tested with cats.

Denis loves to run around and is learning to play so a house with a yard would be better for him, but in saying that he is equally happy just lazing around on his bed outside in the sunshine. He wants a family that will include him in their activities and take him on daily walks, he walks well on the lead with a halti. He would like to play with all other dogs he meets, but is easy to control and keep going. He will run or walk with you and is learning to sit at corners before being told to cross the road. If he is left alone through the day, he enjoys chew toys and kongs to entertain himself but another dog may be beneficial.

Denis has just completed one week of formal training. He is food driven which makes further training so much easier and fun and he is keen to develop his skills. He does love to play with chew toys and run around with children in the yard, but getting pats are his favourite.

Denis is always very happy to see you come home and loves to come inside to sit with you. He doesn’t bark much, and when someone enters the house he just goes to greet them hopeful for affection.
In the evening, Denis likes to snuggle inside with the family, have his belly rubbed and chew on his toys. He is house trained, non destructive and settles well at night. He truly is a remarkable boy.
