About Bruce
Do you love short walks on the beach and relaxing in front of the TV? Well meet Bruce! He is a Border Collie x Bull Arab, approximately two years old and an absolute dreamboat!
Bruce is super affectionate and LOVES children. He also gets along very well with other dogs, big and small. He hasn't been tested with cats. Bruce is learning to walk nicely on a halter and he travels well in the car. He is happy with a short daily walk (30-45mins) and just wants to chill out the rest of the time.
We think Bruce is used to life in a backyard with children around as he is very comfortable and happy with both. He is fine to be alone while you're at work but loves to be included in the family when you're home. He is scared of balls and toys so he may have been told off for playing with children’s toys in the past. He is a pretty laid back fella but can get nervous in certain situations and just needs some reassurance. Bruce is currently enjoying life as a ‘shop dog’ with his foster carer at Barking Good in East Ivanhoe, you can call by and meet him most days during their business hours.
The ideal family for Bruce would have kids or another dog and will be able to take him to the beach or swimming regularly, and provide him with the right food and supplements for his joint health (see medical notes below).
Medical notes
Bruce has juvenile hip dysplasia, which can be managed with good food and a few supplements, beach walks and swimming. His new family will need to make sure he doesn't put on any unnecessary weight so his joints aren't under any undue pressure.
