About Lady
Hello. My name is Lady and I am a loving and well mannered 14 month old pointer cross dalmation.
You may have already heard of my pups. I am the mother of the Royal Litter. I was surrendered to the pound because I was expecting. But, don't feel sad for me. I have been very, very loved in my foster home, and... dare I say it... treated like a real Lady.
I was a little nervous when I first arrived. I had been an outside dog and I had a nice soft bed in my foster mum's bedroom to sleep on. Plus I had to meet lots of other doggos too. I can be a little nervous meeting dogs that are larger than me, but when I know they won't hurt me, it's all fun and games.
Oh, I do love to play. I have a very special big boxer buddy. He and I love to play and bound around the yard together. My very best friend, though, is a little Jack Russell. He and I enjoy playing any game at all - chasey, tug-of-war, bitey face. I have to be oh so gentle with him because he is only teeny. Luckily, I am a very gentle girl.
I must admit, I am a bit of a couch potato most of the time. I enjoy nothing more than snoozing all day with my friends. And weekend naps cuddled up with my foster mum are the best.
I have really enjoyed being part of a family. It's so much nicer than being stuck in the back yard with just other dogs for company. I have been an inside/outside dog in my foster home and treated just like I am one of their family! I love sleeping inside on a nice, cosy dog bed. I know that I am not allowed on beds unless I am invited (which my foster mum does sometimes because she is a big softie). Will you let me be part of your family too?
I am quite a well trained pooch. I know sit, stay, come and drop. When I go for walks I know to wait at every corner and I heel beautifully. I totally ignore the barking dogs we walk past. I am too busy enjoying my walk to worry about them! Oh, and I never pull on the lead. I do like to sniff around and enjoy the smells a little though.
Oops. I nearly forgot to tell you that I know a few tricks. I can smile on cue. That's why my foster mum takes so many photos of me smiling. I also love to sing. Especially in the car when Foster Mum sings along with the radio. I am a bit of a talker but I know I have to be quiet at home. I never, ever bark though. Even when people come to visit, I know not to bark. I do wiggle my bottom a lot though. I love meeting new people so much, especially children. They are so much fun to be with! I am quite a social butterfly.
We have a cat in my foster home too. They are the strangest creatures. Have you heard that odd sound they make? She likes to come up and touch noses with me. I am very calm and let her. I do like to watch her a bit, but I would never chase her.
So... are you looking for a new family member like me? A pooch who is loving, gentle and will constantly make you smile. You will never be sad again with me in your life.
Please come and meet me. I am at Carseldine, just waiting to meet you. See you soon.
Love, Lady.
