About Bridy π Schnauzer x Shih Tzu (Trial 29/11/19)
Bridy is a Miniature Schnauzer x Shih Tzu who is not quite 7 years old. Bridy has stolen a lot of hearts β€οΈ while in foster care. She is simply the most loving and beautiful little girl you could imagine. She has floppy ears that catch the breeze πΆ, a sweet, smiling face and sunny personality.
Bridy loves squeaky toys and is full of fun! She loves to go for a walk and gets very excited when you pick up her lead. She walks very nicely on a harness and lead. She is great in the car. She is in foster care with 4 other dogs and gets along fine with them. We haven't introduced her to any cats. She likes to be the dog closest to her carer, preferably on a lap receiving back scratches or belly rubs. She would be fine as an only dog or living with another small, placid dog.
Bridy is very much an inside dog and needs to be welcome inside and on your lap and to sleep inside. She is house trained and knows how to use a doggy door. She is not a big barker.
She has a gorgeous, soft low-shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep her comfortable and beautiful. She recently had her coat cut short for the summer but when it's a bit longer it has soft curls. She really is gorgeous.
Bridy is wonderful with children, but we prefer that any children in her forever home be 12 years or older so they will be gentle with her.
Bridy has always been very well cared for and loved. She was reluctantly surrendered to Dog Rescue Newcastle by her owner who sadly became too ill to care for a dog.
Bridy weighs 5kg. Her birthday is 12/2/2013, so she'll be 7 in around 2 months. She is a happy and healthy little girl.
We are looking for a forever home for Bridy where there is someone home most of the time to will spoil her, play with her, take her for walks, and let her sit on their lap and sleep in their bedroom. She needs a grassy backyard and isn't suitable for apartment living.
If you would like Bridy to be your loyal companion, please fill out our Adoption Questionnaire https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt. If you have any questions please contact Terri by email to drn.terri@gmail.com Bridy is in foster care in Belmont, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle). She available for adoption to NSW, ACT, QLD, and VIC but you must come to meet her.
Bridy's adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. She recently had her teeth cleaned by a vet.

(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
