About Max
Meet cool dude Max! Only small in size, he isn't expected to grow to be a big boy at all, with his beautiful soft coat, stumpy tail and smiley face, how could you resist! Max full of love to share with his special human. He has a loving and very sweet personality. Max was found in a town 5 hours drive from Newman and was brought to the local pound. He was unclaimed and made his way to the SAFE programme. On first meet, you can tell Maxy boy hasn't had the best start to life being quite timid however being in a foster family with another confident dog has truly opened up Max. He would be best suited in a family with another doggy pal to learn from and bond with, he loves all he meets and we feel as though this would really benefit him. It doesn't take Max long to come out of his shell, now in a foster family he is a different boy, growing more confident each day. He loves to cuddle, play with his toys, chase his ball and to go for a swim to cool down. He is quite the water baby and loves to splash in the local waterhole. His favourite place is beside his human friends receiving love and pats, he is very loyal and eager to please. He is a good guard dog however is also quick to wag his tail. Max is getting better each day with walking on his lead but is also very loyal walking without one (in a safe environment of course) never steering far from his humans side. He is a great listener and would benefit in a home willing to do training and to continue to teach Max further. Max has learnt how to sit before his meals and a treat. He gets very excited seeing his foster parents come home after work and is still learning not to jump and be overly excited, he is definitely getting there and is very clever.
