About Baxter
Baxter is one of the most beautiful dogs I have ever had the pleasure to meet. He does not have a mean bone in his body, doesn’t bark, lives to cuddle and will follow you everywhere. He has the perfect nature. Excellent with other dogs, people, children and cats ( he particularly loves kittens).
Medical notes
Baxter has had three surgeries to allow him to breathe- he was a severe case of BOAS. He now seems quite stable but he may need further surgery in the future. You must research this condition before applying for him. He will need to be monitored during the hot months. Having said that he is currently on tiles with fans only no air Conditioning and he’s coping very well.
He also has a spinal condition called lordosis. He has no clinical signs of spinal issues and his past medical record has never indicated problems - it was a finding we made looking at his chest and throat during BOAS surgery. He could have spinal issues in the future- apparently 80% of French bulldogs have this spinal condition.
He also has a luxating patella which is not causing him any pain or concern. We will not operate on the knee but it is something you may choose to do in the future. If you take him to trial you would be expected to take him to your vet and discuss these issues prior to the trial period ending. We will always accept Baxter as a return if you are unhappy with him - I absolutely adore this little guy and will only consider the most caring homes.
Apart from these issues he is very happy and healthy.
Adoption details
When you have seen your special new friend that you would like to meet, please email us and we will send an adoption application to applicants we believe are suitable.
Animals with lots of interest will be online for two weeks before being put on hold while the meet and greet process takes place. Overall adoption process can take up to five weeks from time of listing.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
