About Bella
Please read carefully before enquiring.
What Bella lacks in size she makes up for in personality and zest for life.
She is a very happy girl who loves everyone she meets and is happiest when she's the only pet in the home and she will only be suited to a home where she has people home majority of the time.
She loves being snuggled up on the couch close to her special people but she does often have crazy times where she'll do zoomies around the house because she's just so happy.
She will need a home where there aren't neighbors too close by as she barks at any noises she doesn't know so isn't suited to apartment/unit living or a suburban backyard. A more rural setting will be necessary to prevent neighbour complaints and ongoing training for her barking will be necessary.
She needs to be allowed indoors at all times and has to be allowed to sleep indoors also. Her favourite place to sleep is on her foster carers bed.
Please read her medical notes. She doesn't give much warning when she needs a toilet break which means she doesn't hold on for long after trying to get outside but we believe this is due to possible nerve damage and it's out of her control. As well as having constant access to get outside she needs to be taken outside often.
Her new owner will need to be prepared that she will have accidents inside.
As stated in her medical notes she does have some issues with her hind legs which her new owner will need to be prepared for. We believe this could be part of the reason she can't hold on when she needs to toilet.
She loves getting out and about and regular short walks will be necessary to help build up and maintain the muscles in her legs. She is still quite active and excitable so needs someone able to keep up with her.
She will run towards other dogs if she sees them which can be confronting for other dogs so needs to be kept on lead when outside of the home, she travels well in the car and likes exploring new places and meeting new people.
She struggles to jump up onto beds and couches and she should be prevented from jumping down to avoid any unnecessary pressure on her legs so will need someone able to lift her up and down.
Bella is currently living with dogs and cats but will be much happier in a home with no other animals, no young children or grandchildren will be best.
If you fit all the necessary requirements for Bella we'd love to hear from you.
Medical notes
Bella has been assessed by our vet and she has been diagnosed with a grade 3/6 luxating patella, also mild neurological deficit right hind leg.
Surgery is not recommended at this stage however, there is no guarantee that no surgery will be needed in the future.
We have the vet report which we are happy to pass onto her new owners.

Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
