About Ruby ~ 6mo Shepherd x Kelpie pup (On Trial 1/12/19
Ruby is a 6-month-old German Shepherd x Kelpie. She has a gentle nature and loves cuddles and playing with her foster sisters.
Ruby is very energetic and loves doing zoomies in the backyard, but she also settles down quickly and loves relaxation time with her humans. She thinks she’s still a little puppy and tries curling up in your lap!
Ruby currently lives with other dogs with whom she gets along with just fine! She can be a bit unsure when meeting new dogs, but after a while she warms up to them. She would love another dog friend to keep her company, but she would probably be fine as an only dog as well.
Ruby is a very smart, so training her should be easy. She is figuring out that she needs to “sit” for a treat and we are working on other basic commands such as “stay” and “down”. Ruby learned how to use the doggy door within minutes!
Currently she sleeps inside and has started house training. She'll need to sleep inside at least until she’s fully grown.
Ruby is an active girl who needs a daily walk. A home with a big yard would be great but a regular yard would be fine so long as you spend plenty of time with her.
Ruby will grow up to be a medium to large size dog. As she can get very excited and jumps, she’s not suitable to live with children under 10.
Ruby is looking for a home where she is treated as part of the family, allowed inside when people are home, and will take her on their adventures with them.
To apply to meet Ruby, please fill out our Adoption Questionnaire https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt. If you have any questions you can contact her foster carer by sending an email to charlotte.backhausen@web.de
Ruby is in foster care in Thornton, NSW (between East Maitland and Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Ruby's adoption fee is $500 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.
