About Frankie
Name: frankie or frankular
birthdate: around november 2009
colour:black berkshire
frank, an ex feeder rat, is a gorgeous little fatty. Healthwise franks had a rough trot and needs to be with someone who has experience with myco. Being on medication has somewhat stunted her growth, so she's a fat rat, but not so big in size. Her breathing sounds wheezy, but it's mainly scarring from some rough flare ups. She does really well in a nebuliser chamber with saline which clears up any wheezing she has, and she is very nice and calm in the chamber. Her health is now under control and she is having a good run lately, her weight is staying on and no vet trips have been needed so that's a plus. Hopefully her initial health run up has not scared you off, because this is one sweet girl that will love you and be thankful for the home she deserves. Franks is a lover. She is so licky and just wants to see those hands to give them a good licking! she will climb all over you, come to her name and take food and treats, but is not big on cuddling or being held for long periods of time. She is very playful and loves being roughed around and will tackle your hand and popcorn and sprint around the cage then come back and wait for more roughing up. She can be aggressive with rats in intros, and takes a while to get used to a newbie, but it isn't hopeless and with time she learns to love everyone. She needs someone with a bit of patience. Idealy i would love for whinnee and frankie to be rehomed together to reduce the shock on them, since they've been together for most of their lives. *rats are not held at the shelter, but can be privately adopted.
