Hi I'm Gypsy and I'm such a lovely girl with so much love to give and a perfect mix of couch potato and active.
I am a bit anxious to start with so I need a lot of love and patience to settle in and get used to my new environment. I'm really faithful to my human family and love nothing more than following you like a shadow, giving lots of kisses to my little humans and curling up near you on the couch.
I am great with children of all ages, and would love if my foster cat and chicken would let me play with them, but I think I scare them a bit with my excitement. I'm still young and love to play and run around the yard. I also love going for a long fast-paced walk in the evening and I am learning to not pull on the lead. The Halti head collar and treats are really helping me with my manners when we walk and I learn really fast.
I have great manners at home: I know how to sit, wait for my food, play by myself when my foster family is out, and I sleep through the night until you're ready to wake up.
I would prefer a family/couple who is more often home than not, or where there is another gentle and patient dog. You see I didn't get to socialise much with other dogs when I was little so I get very excited around other dogs as I'm trying to get them to play with me, but I also get a little anxious around them.

Adoption details
~ ADOPTION PROCESS ~
STEP 1: An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT DO INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS ** We require all animals to have a meet & greet with their new family before they are officially adopted, no exceptions. If you are willing and able to meet the dog in person, we are happy to accomodate the adoption.
STEP 2: If successful, our foster carer will be in touch within 24-48 hours.
STEP 3: A 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
STEP 4: The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 4 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
STEP 5: A 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from the foster carer.
STEP 6: The Adoption is the finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email after this period. Please note this can take up to 4 weeks pending on the microchip paperwork.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW. **
