Cookie 🍁

This gorgeous little girl is Cookie, our 8 week old Labrador x Doberman x Cattle mix. For the last 3 weeks, she's been going to FollyFoot Childcare centre daily with her foster mum and had great exposure to young children 💕

She is currently in care with 2 of her siblings who she gets along well with, and 1 host pup who is slightly older than Cookie. During her time in care, she has shown no food aggression with her siblings, but has certainly learnt to stand up for herself, given that her siblings are both boys. She is an absolute sweetheart who loves to fall asleep in your lap where she feels safe, and never short on handing out sweet gentle puppy kisses.

Cookie is sleeping outside under a covered area in a cosy crate along with her siblings, which they all seem to enjoy. She is doing well with her toilet training and this is something that will need to be continued in her new home. She is beautiful with young children as long as they are respectful of animals, extremely loyal, adventurous and socialised with both small and big dogs. After a good play and wrestle with her furry friends, she loves nothing more than to snuggle with her humans.

We would love to see Cookie find a home where she had the company and guidance of another dog, but would also be suited in an only dog home if she had the company of her humans around.

At this stage, we think Cookie will be a medium to large dog when fully grown, so you would need to be prepared for this. She will need a medium to large size yard and a home where she will be treated as part of the family 👨‍👨‍👧‍👧🐕🐕

As with all our pups, we strongly recommend enrolling in Puppy school. Cookie will need continued socialisation with other dogs during the puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that she grows up to be a well mannered and socialised girl.

We would love to help get you started with training, so our amazing supporters, Best Friends - Erina, have kindly offered to include a 5 week Puppy training course with all of our Puppy adoptions (up to 16wks of age)....The Best Friends Puppy Pre-School service is a fun and interactive five-week training course that covers puppy behaviours, diet, health, grooming, exercise and play, with an emphasis on socialisation, command training, health and care. Their aim is to teach you positive ways to train your puppy in basic skills such as ‘sit’, ‘drop’, ‘stay’, and how to walk well on a lead, but also how to control your puppy’s not so desirable behaviours like toileting inside, biting, mouthing and separation anxiety.

Cookie is booked in for Desex on Tuesday 19th November and will be available to take home once she recovers (within a few days). She is located in Narara on the Central Coast NSW.
