About Grace
**Warning - Distressing Photos**
Meet Grace - a very special 12 month old female Mastiff cross. She was rescued from a backyard in an extremely emaciated condition and was very distrusting of strangers. Her need for food overcame her fear of people and we were able to get her the help she needed.
Grace has spent some time in our care - and what a difference!!! She has nearly doubled her body weight and looks like a totally different girl. She has such a sweet personality and loves to be cuddled and walked. She is even learning things like sit, lie down and shake hands!! She loves to shake hands and we think it's her way of thanking us.
Grace still has a few trust issues - she needs to know that she will be looked after. She has never shown any aggression and only wants to kiss and hug the people who are around her. It doesn't take her long to make up her mind....she is always looking to love people. We know she is ready for a new home - she chose her own collar and put her head in it - she just wants to belong.
Grace loves to play with other dogs. Her bestie in the pound is a Rottweiler cross and through their playing, Grace is starting to build much needed muscle mass. She is well on the road to recovery - she needs to build more muscle mass and gain some much needed confidence and faith in humans.
We are looking for a very special person or family that preferably already has a dog to love Grace for the rest of her life. She deserves it. She deserves to live in a loving home with loving parents and siblings. She deserves to go for walks, meet people and other dogs and maybe learn to swim. Why does she deserve it so much? Just look at the photos to see where she came from and how far she has come. Grace deserves to live.
