About Furphy
Did you hear the furphy about the husky who hated food? Pffft as if our newest recruit Furphy hates food. In fact, he loves it so much it’s the key to everything – training, getting his attention, the lot.
Furphy is a gorgeous, young lad at 10 months old, with bright blue eyes and a dapper black and white coat. He’s loving, affectionate, cheeky, and obedient and already has plenty of tricks up his furry sleeve.
He’s housetrained and knows how to come when called, sit, stay, shake paws, wait / leave it, and is learning how to have manners at the dog park and heel. As a young chap, he’d LOVE someone who wants to spend more time on his training and expanding his little world, and food is the key to unlocking any training process.
Furphy is very affectionate and loves his people, cuddles, attention and a good pat. He’s playful with the other dogs he’s met so far and having another friendly canine buddy is a must for Furphy. He just adores his foster bro, they have a real bromance going on.
Furphy has typical husky HIGH energy levels and will need plenty of walks and runs to wear him out and he’s always on the go. He’s also very chatty and playful and has plenty to say to his people!
His foster tells us he’s such a beautiful boy, and we believe them. He’s got his whole life ahead of him and we know he’ll make his new humans very happy indeed.
The usual husky rules apply, with no cats or pocket pets, he’s untested with small dogs, and 6ft+ husky-proof fencing is an absolute must with Furphy, as he’s already tried to leap a fence in pursuit of a possum.
