About Anna ~ 6 month old Kelpie x (On trial 5/12/19)
Let me introduce you to Anna or affectionately known as Anna Banana! Anna is a six-month-old and Border Collie x Kelpie with a tiny bit of Mastiff in the mix. She has a very cute stumpy tail and is a beautiful girl who will grow to be medium size.
Before coming into care, Anna hadn’t had much exposure to the outside world. With a little encouragement and support, she is learning to explore new things. For the little amount of time she has been in our care she has made amazing progress! Watching Anna come out of her shell and bound after a ball or her foster brother is an absolute delight.
Anna would be best suited to a home where she can be part of the family, one with patience and who is committed to continuing her training. She is very smart and is picking things up very quickly. Anna knows how to sit and will lay on her mat when told. She sleeps happily in a crate and toilet training is coming along well. Anna is only just learning how to walk on a lead, so will need some ongoing training in this area. Once she has more experience on the lead she will be a great dog to have alongside.
This sweet girl would love to live with a family where there is someone home more often than not or where she can have another doggy playmate and a big yard to explore. Anna is best with children over 7 years old as being a puppy she can get a little excited. She is currently living inside and would need to be welcomed inside at least when her new family are home.
Anna currently lives with another dog gets along well with other friendly dogs. While Anna does live with three cats and a guinea pig, she can get very distracted by smaller animals, so it would be best if she went to a home with no pocket pets.
Anna is a very active dog and needs to go to a home where her family can commit to daily exercise. Being a puppy, Anna will need lots of toys to keep her distracted from chewing things she shouldn’t be.
Anna travels well in the car and hopefully, with her new family, she would be included in lots of trips exploring the outside world. Anna is a sweetheart and will thrive in a home that can give her lots of love and attention.
