About Salmon
Are you ready to introduce a new furry friend to your home and family? Can you dedicate time to training and socialisation to help a young pup grow into a confident and sociable canine? Look no further; these young pooches are waiting for someone like you!
This litter of five have been lucky enough to have been raised by our dedicated foster carers. Many of them have had good experiences with cats, children and other dogs. With the careful guidance of our behaviour team and animal attendants, these young canines are now exploring lots of new surroundings and meeting plenty of new friends. Walking on grass and tumbling over cardboard boxes, feeling rain and wind, and trying out new toys and treats, the pups are gaining a broad understanding of the world around them. They have also started to learn some basic skills like sit and drop!
Our ideal families will be ready to devote time and patience to ongoing training and socialisation. While a comfy bed and lots of toys are important, positive experiences will be pivotal to the pups' success in their new homes.
Salmon does not like confrontation during training and will bark back at you with confusion. It's especially important that this boy be trained using positive reinforcement - that's yummy treats and lots of verbal praise! - the pups will learn where to toilet, how to play politely, basic skills, and how to greet other canines, amongst many other things.
Please visit our shelter to meet him and to fill out an application form, or contact our Shelter at kempscreek@awlnsw.com.au for more information.
