Hi! My name is Astrid and I am looking for that special person to love. I am not shy at all and will be all over you instantly with my kisses. So much so, that my foster family call me the Queen of Licks!
I am such a pretty girl with my dark fur, white chest and mesmerising caramel eyes. I am having lots of training with my 12 year old foster mini-mum who has taught me to sit, wait for food, drop and get down so far. I know that I need more training because I am super bouncy. Life totally amazes me and I’m just so happy all the time. Kids over 5 are needed for me because I get so excited about everything and it takes me a while to settle down.
Being a kelpie, I am super intelligent and I have a truck load of energy. I need a walk every day and some ball throwing to keep me busy. I love playing fetch and am really good at it. I am currently living with my brother and foster brother and sister and would love a friend to play with in my new home.
I love food so am easy to train and my aim in life is to please you. I am also great in the car and I hardly bark. If you need a walking buddy or someone to run with then I am the girl for you.
If you think we would be a good match, I would love to meet you soon!

Adoption details
~ ADOPTION PROCESS ~
STEP 1: An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT DO INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS ** We require all animals to have a meet & greet with their new family before they are officially adopted, no exceptions. If you are willing and able to meet the dog in person, we are happy to accomodate the adoption.
STEP 2: If successful, our foster carer will be in touch within 24-48 hours.
STEP 3: A 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
STEP 4: The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 4 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
STEP 5: A 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from the foster carer.
STEP 6: The Adoption is the finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email after this period. Please note this can take up to 4 weeks pending on the microchip paperwork.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW. **
