About Mr Leroy Brown
Hi Everyone- it’s Leroy here (Aka Mr Brown, Brownie, Big Boy, Duffas, Cuddle Tart, Cucumber lover!).
A few people have been asking about me lately, so I thought I should let you all know how I’m going. Who knew life could be so fabulous 😍😍
I came into foster in July, I’d had a few injuries so my foster folks organised a lot of physio and chiro visits. I feel so much better, particularly with my gentle morning walks (my silly foster sisters love zoomies, but most of the time I just watch- it’s much safer, those girls are crazy 😝).
I’ve had two amazing families lined up to take me on trial, but unfortunately things changed for them and I didn’t go anywhere (which is absolutely fine, did I mention I have a bed in every room and lots of cuddles with my foster folks - who knew there was such a thing as domestic life 😍). I know the perfect home is out there and that it will pop up when it should. Mum says I’m a very, very special boy (ah shucks 😉).
I do need a very loving home (but hey, don’t we all 😊) with company (hooman or hound), so either someone who works from home (or wants to take me to work 😃), or another grey girl would be fabulous (hubba hubba 😍).
Did I also mention I’ve got a very cute foster sister called Harriet, she’s a Dalmatian. I love her dots 😍. Harry and I are both a bit worried about storms, but we cope fine because we sleep in the bedroom with our Foster Folks and crazy hound sisters (those girls🙄) - I wouldn’t like to sleep outside or somewhere I can’t see my family.
I have a bit of a thing about cats and short dogs, particularly the fluffy ones 🤭, but when we are out walking I’m a perfect gentleman - even when there are hares running around and my foster sisters are going silly (those girls 🙄).
I’m a big boy (lots to cuddle 😍), so a family with little kids is probably not my thing, it’s not that I don’t like kids or anything, but Mum says I often forget my size (when I get a little excited I can scatter my foster sisters in all directions 🤣🤣) .
Mum says she thinks I’d be a perfect therapy dog (not quite sure what that means, but if it involves cuddles I’m in!!! Dad says I’m a cuddle tart 😂).
So I think that’s enough about me, just your standard sensitive new age guy looking for the perfect furever home. ♥️
Love, Mr Brown
Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need Website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. My emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
