Diego is looking for his forever home!

This country fella has travelled all the way from Mount Isa to look for love, and he doesn’t discriminate. He would love the company of male or female, human or canine.
Someone to laze his days away with on the couch or in the sun.

Don’t be deceived by his size; this beautiful Staghound x boy is approx 3 years old, and like many “Bushies”, has the softest, most quiet nature. He is completely house trained, has great manners (he even sits patiently for his dinner!), and knows basic commands. He would still benefit from further training, especially on a lead (in his excitement he forgets his size).

While preferring to be inside with you while you’re home, he’s happy to find a corner of the room to snooze in. He does well outside during the day, and you will find that he is a man of few words (he very rarely barks, and when he does it’s because he wants a pat. Typical male...).

Diego is great with other dogs; he loves a good road trip to the dog park where he plays nicely and is very respectful. He seems to also be fine with kids, and rather uninterested in cats and other animals (although further testing/introductions should be done). He doesn’t quite get the attraction of playing with toys, or chasing balls; he thinks his time is better spent pondering away the worlds mysteries. If you look deep enough into his eyes, I’m sure you’ll find all the answers there!

A good old belly rub or butt scratch goes a long way to score you brownie points with this boof; and if you’re up for a couch potato companion with plenty of love to spare, Diego is your man!
