Duke

Hello friends! It's me, The Duke of RSPCA.

Only kidding of course, My name is Duke but the folks here call me D-dawg. What's an active kiddo like me doing at a shelter you ask? Well...I can't believe my luck either. I was brought to the RSPCA with a buddy of mine because we were abandoned at our original property. I'm not sure what I did to deserve such treatment but I'm trying to be positive and hope that it was for the best. I haven't ever really left the back yard so this whole suburban city life is kinda scary to me. I'm slowly adjusting, one paw at a time, but I will need the patience of my new family to help guide me into adulthood.

Anyways, enough about my past, let's move on to OUR future. I'm an active guy that will need a fit and energetic home to keep up with my needs. I will need plenty of physical stimulation and most importantly mental stimulation to keep up with my fast and quick learnin' brain. I would ideally like a family that has had experience with my breed before. I can get a little over-excited at times and will lots of training to help me practice some manners and learn some impulse control.

Lastly, I would prefer a home with no kiddy-winks. I haven't been around them before and boy do they move quick! I could, however, live with another calm, social doggo and in fact, this may help me settle into my new home a little easier and help my nerves. I would also ideally like a home with people who are home often or even work from home.
