About Dusty
I was surrendered when my carers' circumstances changed and they could no longer look after me.
I absolutely love going on daily runs, exploring the outside world, taking in all of the new smells and I could literally run around chasing my favourite ball for hours on end!
I will need an active home where my new carers know and understand my breed, will provide me with daily walks, enrichment, take me to doggy school and possibly even enrol me in a dog sport. This will help me build up my confidence and fulfill my instinctual needs.
There are a few things I should mention. I am initially nervous when meeting new people, although, I do warm up form a strong bond quite quickly.
It would be best if I do not go to a home with very young children as I would hate to knock anyone over.
Due to my breed, I also have a high drive to chase small animals (this does not include small dogs), bikes and I also like to chase young children to try and round them up, so my new carers will have fulfill this habit by replacing it with activities that simulate this instinctual need.
If you think I would suit your active lifestyle, please contact the Adoption Hub.
