About Ally
Hi my name is Ally, my mum and I have decided that I need to find a new place to call home. I really love my family but its not the right fit for me. You see Im a little bit anxious and my family now have a lot going on in their home. Its just a bit much for me.
Ive come a long way in the last year. When I came to my new mums place everything was scary. I was scared of the teenager who seemed to move in strange uncoordinated ways that scared me.
My best friend Kash who is also a greyhound made me feel at home and I love to lay my head on him. Then there were all these cats. To start with I didnt know what to make of them - Kash assured me I wasnt to chase them. But lately I just cant seem to stop myself and I especially like the teenagers cat who runs off.
I know he will be mad at me if I catch the cat but I just cant seem to stop it from happening. Its just so much fun!
Then there is little dog - she is old and has dementia and cant see or hear very well. She really really annoys me - she follows me everywhere and is constantly in my face. I really am not great with small dogs, so a home with a larger dog would be best.
I am a very good walker, mum says Im the best dog she has every walked because I stay by her side and I walk in straight line.
I do startle in the night if anyone touches me accidentally. So always make sure you call my name and wake me up before you touch me when I am asleep.
I do not have a muzzle exemption and need to wear a muzzle when I walk in public, but that doesn’t stop me from being a great friend to you. I don’t mind my muzzle when walking. So please consider me. I will make a great friend!
I'm very good with my greyhound friend Kash and I have been his support dog because he was very upset being in a house without dogs. I would like to have a medium to large doggy friend as my companion when you are not home.
I would prefer a home with adults who are relaxed and laid back. Who understand and are willing to help me with my scaredy cat ways. I don’t mean to be this way, but some things in the world are scarey. I just need someone to help me understand this. Patience and a quiet lifestyle would be great.
I like to sit on the couch most days as you can see in my photos and I really like to have a human take care of me who I get attached too. I love my mum and I loved my previous male trainer and I will do anything they tell me too because I just love them so much.
I have funny quirks, I do steal things of the counter like coffee, margarine and hot chocolate powder - these are all things that are very bad for me but I dont care because they taste good. I eat pretty much anything - like salad, vegies, fruit, anything humans eat, I eat. Mum is going to rehome me from her place because she wants to make sure I go to the right home. We will be sad when we leave each other but I think I need to find a forever home that is just right for me. Mum will have me back if it doesnt work.
Please contact my good friends at BTG, they are trying to help me and my mum find me the perfect home.
I will be waiting to hear from you!
luvs,
Ally

Adoption details
All BTG greyhounds are Desexed, C5 Vaccinated, Wormed & Heart Worm treated prior to adoption.
They have been fostered for a minimum of 8 weeks to allow maximum training and preparation for home life.
A post adoption trial period of 4 weeks is available to help families decide if the greyhound is the right one for them.
We also offer Foster to Adopt options for those who love the idea of teaching a greyhound in their home with the view to adopt it once it has "graduated" to Home Life status. This is a wonderful experience, to watch it blossom in your own home with your guidance and love. An ideal way to make sure this is the perfect dog for you.
