Need a companion? You’re going to be hard pressed to find anyone that loves you more than Ninja will.
This handsome boi’s goal in life is to be snuggled up in your lap like a giant pretzel at every given opportunity. He lives in a constant state of puppy-dog-eyes that are always politely begging for your affection. Ninja didn’t get the memo that lap dogs are supposed to be smaller, so if you’re quite small framed yourself we can see how this could be a problem.
Ninja just wants to please you, and he tries so hard. He will sit there bursting at the seams trying to be a good boi for you if you have given him some instructions. Ninja has learnt some good manners during his time in foster care, such as waiting for his food, staying out of areas he’s not supposed to be, and only getting on your lap once invited. He will have an impatient grumble if you take too long inviting him onto your lap, which is just one of the cutest things we’ve ever seen. Ninja is crate trained and is the bestest boi at going into his crate when asked. He has no trouble sleeping in his crate or staying in there for extended periods.
Despite being so soft on the inside, Ninja is a very strong boi and will need to be kept under a tight reign of strong verbal commands. He walks perfectly using a Halti and control collar, or if you are a bit stronger he also shows promise to be trained to walk well without these aids. He also loves a good run! Ninja has come a long way from being quite dog reactive to learning that his master has everything under control, so you will need to be aware of the behaviours he has overcome when you consider what situations you want to put him into. If any dog shows him any aggression he will react with aggression, for this reason I would hesitate to ever have him off-lead in any dog parks or at the beach.
You will need at least six foot high fences to keep Ninja contained – this boi can JUMP, and until he becomes comfortable in his new surroundings he will try to chase you down when you leave. Ninja would be suitable to be an only dog if his humans will be home for a good proportion of the time. Likewise he has loved living with two active foster brothers close to his size. He does love a good play-wrestle. Ninja would not be suitable for a home with cats or pocket pets.
Ninja is a loving, extremely affectionate, handsome boi who will put in 100% effort to do the right thing by you, and never want to leave your side. Book in a meet and greet with this special boi today and come experience what he has to offer.
