About Fred ~ Maltese X Jack Russell (on trial 3/11/19)
Did you say that you want a lap dog? A travel mate? Someone to tell your troubles to? Then look no further. My name is Fred and I am 11 years old. They are guessing that I am a Maltese/Jack Russell and I weigh around 6.5 kg.
My foster carer says that I am now ready to move on to a permanent home so let me tell you what kind of home I need. I originally came from a home with children so children over ten who are considerate of my needs would be ok, but my carer also thinks I would fit into a quiet environment, most possibly with someone mature with some experience with dogs. Bear in mind that I am an active boy who loves walks.
This is my wish list. I must be treated as a family and as such I don’t like sleeping in laundries or bathrooms and definitely not outside! I love being with my human so I would prefer someone who is mostly at home.
In return for this I will give you devotion and loyalty all my life. I will protect you and your home but I will not bark without reason. I will not damage your property or dig holes in your garden. I will not try to escape because I would want to stay beside you. I have learned to use a doggy door and I will, given time learn where I need to go at my new home. I will be your constant companion and love you unconditionally.
I can be a little timid until I feel secure, then if I trust you I will respond with affection.
I think that I have told you everything but if you have any questions please ask my carer Anne on anne_mccondach_3@hotmail.com

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
