About Castor
Hey there, I'm Castor and I was surrendered to the shelter when my owner could no longer care for me.
I've settled into shelter life well and have made some doggie friends that I get to hang out with all day.
I have to tell you that I can be a bit stressful at times and will cower at sudden movements so I may show signs of stress during thunderstorms or fireworks. My new family will need to take measures to ensure I feels safe when these occur.
I would love to go on a big daily walk to explore my neighbourhood and hopefully learn how to walk on a lead properly as at the moment I can be a bit erratic. I promise with your help I try to do better.
Due to my high stress levels I would love to find a home where someone is home a lot with me and to be allowed inside hanging out with my family would be a dream come true. If left alone in backyard by myself I do tend to bark a lot.
I'm happy to have another doggo at home to keep me company but please bring them in to meet me first so we can make sure we'll be the best of friends.
I've met some cats since being at the shelter and I find them funny little things to bark at constantly so it's best if I don't go to a home that has them.
Also, due to my stress levels I've been told that I can't go to a home with small children as they may accidently scare me. Older children who'll spend time with me would be great.
I'll be hanging out at the shelter waiting for you to come and take me home.
Medical notes
Castor has some dental disease which will need to be addressed in the near future
