When she is not busy trying to get your attention she enjoys wondering around but is a little cautious with new things, so will need a quiet place of her own to retreat to and regain some confidence. Consequently, Gene would be best suited to a household with older children who can give her the stimuli she requires, without overwhelming her. She would also be best going to a home without any other pets, so that she can have ALL your attention to herself! Her coat will need regular grooming, as it is prone to matting when neglected!
