About 1710 - Bobbie
💜🐾 ADOPT ADORABLE BOBBIE 🐾💜
Bobbie is a very special girl who requires the very best forever home. Bobbie is a complete sweetheart and anyone that meets her falls in love.
She has some medical conditions and will take some time to settle into a new home. Bobbie is completely blind and will need to slowly get used to one room at a time, she needs someone that will watch out for her and check where she is until she learns the house layout. As soon as she hears your voice, she will come running to you, she also follows you when you talk to her. She will need to remain inside at all times, but could in future have a fully enclosed cat run to spend some time outside.
She does not like being picked up and carried around as it disorientates her, and she doesn’t want to be on the sofa or chairs so you need to spend lots of time sitting on the floor with her! She has a love for rugs, all types and textures, and she spends her time sleeping on either the rug in her room or the living room. Bobbie has never meowed, she is a very quiet kitten. She has a soft little purr, and will happily sleep next to you and accept pats all day long.
She’s starting to have more interest in toys, and I’m sure this will increase as she gets more used to her environment.
Bobbie also likely has cerebellar hypoplasia where her cerebellum did not develop fully, and as a result she has some coordination issues. She often walks backwards in circles til she finds a spot and goes to sleep, she also shakes a little bit at times. When she requires more concentration for tasks, her condition gets more noticeable, so things like eating and cleaning herself require some assistance (i.e. a daily bath currently). She is not 100% using her litter tray so will need someone with patience to deal with this, and it will improve as she gets more used to the home. The vet predicts her symptoms will not get any worse, and as she gets older she’ll learn to cope with them better.
Bobbie currently lives with some adult cats who pretty much leave her alone. She’d be fine to go to a home with another cat or also by herself as she is a very independent girl. She needs a home without dogs or young children. Even with her medical conditions, Bobbie is a very happy girl who loves life.
Bobbie likes her food, preferring wet food and beef mince, however does make quite a mess when eating!
For the right home who has either had a blind or special needs cat before, or who is prepared to work with her while she adjusts to a new home, she will make your home a brighter place.
