About Frederic
Freddy is a complete darling of a boy. He is visually impaired and navigates his turf quite well as he has gotten to know it, and at other times, occasionally requires a bit of extra guidance to help his awareness of certain things. Overall he's a whirlwind of energy who is highly curious, gregarious and a real gad about; he just adores trotting about and exploring various hidey holes and spending quality time with his foster carer, who gets smooched to death. Yes, Fred is just so affectionate and smoochy. He adores getting patted and is a total attention hog. Raised from when he was rescued as a kitten, he is really comfortable with people. Freddy has watched all of his siblings be adopted and he waits patiently for that right furever home.
Freddy has an unusual coat in that he has mildly discernable stripes but looks black and white predominantly. We think he's a complete cutey. His photos don't do him justice.
Freddy would suit a home with couples, singles and families with children. A home where he was able to soak up plenty of attention would be pretty good, he would absolutely adore that. And where his mild disability was able to be catered for.

Medical notes
When Freddy was rescued as a kitten he was suffering from untreated severe eye infections. These were treated with antibiotics and he has been left with corneal (outer layer of eye) scarring which has caused partial blindness in both eyes. He is completely healthy and has not had any other health issues. He does occasionally need the application of lubricant eye drops in both eyes to help prevent dry eyes. These are eye drops that humans use (two brands are suitable for cats) and are readily available at chemists.
Adoption details
All our cats and kittens have been rescued from various situations, and are living in foster care around Sydney. The animals are vet checked, healthy, desexed, microchipped, vaccinated (1st, 2nd or fully vaccinated), and flea and worm treated. Kittens are adopted from 8 weeks of age. Any kittens adopted at this age, a desexing voucher and follow-up occurs to have the kitten desexed when older which we co-ordinate. We charge a nominal adoption fee to help cover our costs and to assist other cats and kittens in need. People are welcome to meet the cats and kittens if interested. And a "meet and greet" can be organised. A 2 to 4 week trial adoption period applies on all adoptions and phone and/or visiting support is available during this time.
