About Rocky
Rocky is a friendly little male who weighs around 15kg and is approximately 10 months old. He'll happily curl up on the couch next to you or at the end of your bed at night. Rocky loves travelling in the car and going for walks, he gets on well with other dogs and has shown no interest in his carer's cat. He's also recently discovered that the water can be a lot of fun, and he absolutely loves to swim.
He can get startled by loud noises and sudden movements, and he can be picky and needs total privacy with his food, but otherwise he's very affectionate and about as normal as you'd expect for a pup of his age. It can sometimes be tough to put a leash on him, but these habits seem to be diminishing over time. Although he is house trained, he can sometimes get a little lazy and lift his leg inside, so he would benefit from some ongoing training.
Rocky walks well on a leash, and has good recall when off-leash. He will need a home where humans are around more often than not as he finds being left alone for periods of time a little stressful. It would be great if his future home already included another doggie brother or sister.
So if you are looking for a fiesty little scamp who has a lot of love to give, then Rocky could be the boy for you.

Adoption Process
If you should choose to adopt a dog from SEQ K9 Rescue Inc:
You will be asked to complete an Online Adoption Application.
Completing this form helps us to determine if the dog you are applying for will fit your family. Some dogs have special needs so we may be looking for a specific forever home.
After you have completed the Online Adoption Application, we will have the information to determine if you are a good match for the dog you are applying for. Sometimes we may recommend another dog we have in our care.
Next, we will arrange for you to meet the dog/puppy.
We ask that you bring along your children and your dog to the meet. A yard check (or yard photos) will be checked and only then will approval be considered.
Please remember sometimes there are several applications for the same dog so this process may take up to a week.
If your application is approved, now is the time to invest in a dog harness, led, bedding and toys.
All adoption fees must be cleared before our dogs can be collected from our carers. Our carers are not allowed to accept cash. Bank deposit/transfers only.
We also offer a 2 week trial period - if your new family member is not settling please contact SEQ K9 Rescue Inc via email immediately. We are happy to assist with training or advise if the dog has not settled.
If for any reason the dog needs to be returned to the rescue organisation, the adoption fee minus a $50 non-refundable deposit will be refunded to you. Your refund will be returned via bank transfer within 10 working days.
If the dog is returned after the trial period generally no refund will be made.
Interstate adoptions may be requested to supply additional information and photographs of the proposed environment for the dog. Interstate adopter must pay transport costs in addition to the adoption fee.
If the dog is to return from an interstate adoption, the adopter is to pay all costs to return the animal to SEQ K9 Rescue Inc in Brisbane.
All dogs deserve a forever home.
