About Brownie 🐕
Introducing Brownie, our adorable little Cattle x Kelpie boy.....A gentle soul that adores his humans. He loves playing with his doggie friends and then snuggling with his humans at nap time.
Brownie is 1 of 6 pups who arrived in care at the age of 6 weeks. He is currently in care with 1 of his siblings and has an older host dog and 2 young children in his foster home. He is great with the kids and plays gently. Brownie is a very well behaved pup and proving to be quite a clever little man! He has learnt to sit on command and has amazing recall for just 12 weeks of age.
This adorable little boy can be quite the explorer....he loves to investigate everything! He spends his days playing Tug-o-war with his furry friends and loves rolling a ball around. Once he's all tuckered out, he loves nothing more than to find a nice warm lap to cuddle into while he falls asleep. Brownie has shown no food aggression at all and is definitely a lover, not a fighter. He has shown no dominance during his time in care at all. He currently sleeps in his kennel with his siblings and will often take himself off to bed for a nap if there are no laps available.
As with all our pups, we strongly recommend enrolling in Puppy school. Brownie will need continued socialisation with other dogs during the puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that he grows up to be a well mannered and socialised boy. We believe that he will be a medium size dog when fully grown. He is a beautiful natured puppy, and given the right environment we’re sure he will grow to be an extremely loyal, well mannered adult.
We would love to help get you started with training, so our amazing supporters, Best Friends - Erina, have kindly offered to include a 5 week Puppy training course with all of our Puppy adoptions (up to 16wks of age)....The Best Friends Puppy Pre-School service is a fun and interactive five-week training course that covers puppy behaviours, diet, health, grooming, exercise and play, with an emphasis on socialisation, command training, health and care. Their aim is to teach you positive ways to train your puppy in basic skills such as ‘sit’, ‘drop’, ‘stay’, and how to walk well on a lead, but also how to control your puppy’s not so desirable behaviours like toileting inside, biting, mouthing and separation anxiety.
Brownie would be best suited to a home or property with another doggie companion or the company of his humans. He will need an active family who have experience and knowledge of the working dog breeds with a medium to large yard and secure height appropriate fencing.
With all his vet work done, Brownie is now ready to head off to his forever home. All that's left to do is find him a family of his very own. He is located in East Gosford on the Central Coast NSW.

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
