Hi, my name is Darcy. I am a 2 Year old Boxer who loves to play. I am very well behaved and love pats.

My Personality.....
I'm a super playful and happy girl who's always up for a game! If you throw me a toy to fetch, I'll go collect it, but not always let you have it back! Some more training required there.....I have good recall, will sit on command (usually, always for a treat) and love to shake hands! Going for walks is fun but I might be better behaved with a Halti or similar as I do tend to pull on the lead sometimes with excitement. I enjoy the company of other friendly dogs around my size or bigger, I am gentle with small dogs too but I can be overly energetic and annoying to older dogs. I have previously lived in a home with a cat, but we did keep clear of each other....I may have chased them a few times. You'll be happy to know that I'm not a 'nuisance barker'. I'll let you know if someone is hanging around, but you won't receive any noise complaints. In my old home i was mostly an outside dog, sleeping outside but now in my foster home I am sleeping inside and i love to be as close to my carers as possible. I'm potty trained, mostly unless I really need to go and you haven't let me out in a long time to wee... I've been an only dog and cope quite well alone.

My Foster home.....
As previously mentioned, I'm the only dog in my Foster home. Whilst I cope quite well on my own, I would need plenty of chew toys, bones and other things to keep me occupied if you need to go to work, otherwise the dog beds and whatever other fun things i find laying around may get chewed. My people are my world and that includes the kids of the family, although sometimes my excitement to see them is a little overwhelming at first. I currently live with a baby and he is very tasty! I like to lick his feet and hands when my carer isn't watching. I'm very gentle with him even though i'm a big boof. I don't jump up on my carers but I do jump around in excitement when they play with me.

I’m looking for.....
A home with another medium to large friendly dog who enjoys playing as much as I do, would be ideal. Having a companion dog in my Forever home may also help to curve my chewing behaviour. I will need a medium to large yard with height appropriate and secure fencing, but I'm also not an escape artist. I will need a family who is confident with training large dogs, so that they can continue on with my lead training and teach me new tricks and commands......I love nothing more than to please my humans.

I’m currently in care in Erina on the Central Coast NSW and will be ready to head off to my new home once I have been desexed. 💕
