About Chewy DB397
Meet Chewy!
Chewy is an handsome young boy who is looking for a forever home.
Chewy is a very affectionate big goofball who doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He has traveled all the way to Perth from a country pound in hopes of finding his forever family. Chewy can sit and drop on command and knows to sit and wait before his dinner. He responds well to training and understands ‘no’ means no. He did not experience much in his previous life, so will need continued guidance and training. This, along with exercise and mental enrichment will bring out the best in Chewy.
He loves to run and play with other dogs. Walks are very exciting for Chewy so he will pull initially, but with a few corrections walks well on lead. At home, Chewy will sit and wait to be invited onto the couch and loves cuddles while you watch TV. If you crouch down, he knows that means you would like kisses and Chewy will not hold back in showing you his love. As his name suggests, Chewy loves to chew, but with positive reinforcement training, he has learnt what is ok to chew and what is not ok. It would be recommended that he always has his chew toys available or he will make a new chew toy!
Chewy currently lives with full-time workers a playful male dog and would love to find a family with another doggy playmate of similar size. Due to his size and excitability would be best suited to a home with teenagers and adults. He has not been tested with cats.
** Essential: Chewy must be rehomed with another playful dog **
