Hey there, Animal Rescuer!! Calling all atypicals! Calling all those searching for your soul mate! LOOK NO FURTHER - here I am! My name is Emmet, I only have one eye & I am absolutely everyone's mate. I don't think it's curiosity that made you click on my profile....I think it's FATE!

I am young - I still have some puppy attributes but I am considered quite a calm & happy chappy. The vets started calling me ""Jake"", for obvious reasons, (""Jake & the Neverland Pirates""!) & I have started responding to that name.

I am currently fostered with a kind & gentle human foster family with 3 kids aged 8, 6, & 3. I'm told I'm wonderful with all of them - sometimes I jump up when I get excited but never do I jump up on the little kids. I am very placid around them & seem to know that it is my job to make sure they are okay as they play with me in the backyard. I am a very loyal dog.

Tan in colour but there is nothing ""beige"" about my persona!! I have supermodel long legs & I absolutely LOVE ""walkies"" - I do pull a little on the lead, I just can't contain my excitement ALL the time. Such a sweet-natured dog, I'm always wagging my tail & smiling.

I am an outside dog at the moment but my human foster Mummy thinks I will be just as well behaved as an inside dog. I am already learning the ""routine"" in my foster family. I do my toileting outside in one particular spot & I am starting to understand simple commands....I can ""wait"" for my food, I can ""shake"" your hand, & I know ""ly down on your bed"".

I LOVE my puppy toys. I really appreciate a good tummy rub & I can't get enough of being close to my favourite humans. I very rarely bark & I don't cock my leg on anything to mark my territory. I'm just an all-round good guy despite my missing eye!

I ADORE company but am also able to amuse myself (I'm a big fan of chasing lizards, cockroaches & moths!) while I wait for you to get home from work. I like to carry my dog bowl around which makes my foster family laugh - always hoping for food!

I think I would make an excellent pet for couples who want to practice for the real thing with a fur baby or for a family with kids who could benefit from learning some excellent life skills like accepting differences (it's okay to not look like everyone else), responsibility when caring for someone else's needs & the joys of unconditional love & companionship.
