Faith

My name is Faith and I am a gentle giant.

I am very smart and I have already learnt sit, lay down and fetch and I am really close to learning come, wait, shake etc - treats really help keep me focused.

I really love my walks morning and night and love to get some energy out doing my ‘crazy horse’ run! I have met lots of puppies, dogs and a cat, none of which faze me. I do like playing with other dogs when I feel like it. I do like to chase things and I can run really fast for short bursts, so I’m not sure that I’d be good around chooks or wildlife. I’ve learned to run 5kms alongside my foster-mum and will be learning how to run beside the bike so I can get fitter and run a bit more to get rid of my energy.

I do sleep a lot during the day and I sleep outside in my kennel at night without waking anyone, even when we go camping! If given the opportunity to sleep with my family inside though I would definitely take it as I LOVE cuddles, head massages and keeping an eye on my humans! I am learning to like men, I adore my foster-dad, but my foster-mum is my favourite person… maybe because she feeds me yummy stuff!

Despite my size, I’m pretty compact and travel well in the back of the car. I’m super relaxed and happy just to be close to my family. My foster-Mum has only heard me bark a few times and that was to wake up and play with me. I think I would prefer someone to be at home with me but I’ve been alone during work hours so far and so far the neighbours haven’t complained. And maybe some kids to play with me as I’m still a puppy and love playing tug of war with my t-shirt toy.

I do like to chew so I need toys and some stimulation but I’m sure this is just part of being a puppy and I’ll grow out of it. I am house trained, in fact I don’t really go to the toilet in public - I like my own backyard! I also LOVE food…. I think I might have a bit of black Labrador in me! If food is left out, I can reach the bench and eat it so don’t say I didn’t warn you! Again, maybe this is just part of being a puppy and I’ll learn not to eat food that’s not for me.

I am a beautiful puppy and just want to find a family who will love and cherish me as I will you. I really love humans and would love a family I can continue to thrive with and show you what an amazing and ‘faithful’ dog I am.
