Hey there, Animal Saviour! Who doesn't love puppies? They are one of the most loveliest wide-eyed wonders of the world & I'm no exception - my name is Chewbacca, my friends call me ""Chewy"" & this is exactly what I like to do!

I'm an always smiling, very playful puppy. I will need lots of toys & bones to chew on while I get through this teething stage. My teeth are needle sharp but I have a very sweet, gentle nature. I actually give cuddles - I put my paws around my favourite humans & lean my head in for great hugs & kisses.

I am currently fostered with two other canine siblings & very kind human foster parents. I have a big back yard to roam in & there is even a pool where I can cool off in these hot Pilbara months to come. My canine foster Mum, Panda, is a big swimmer - I'm a budding Royal Life Saving Lifeguard. I stand on the edge of the pool & fret a bit until I know Panda is safe. Sometimes there's a dramatic rescue of the pink pig chew toy!

I am an outside pup & I adore my food so would be easy to train. There was 7 of us in my litter but I seem to be doing really well branching out on my own. I have my canine foster siblings & I'm a real sucker for attention & I seem to be the focus at the moment. I crave attention, affection & company. Exactly like the real wookiee warrior ""Chewie"", I have a big heart & unflagging loyalty to my favourite humans.

I have quite a deep ""woof"" on me so would make a good alarm dog. I love to wash my paws in my drinking water bucket & sleep in a plastic tub as opposed to the several dog beds I am offered.

I have beautiful markings & lovely brown eyes. I get on well with dogs & humans alike - I do love company. I would fit into any family dynamic or environment as long as prospective adopters were willing to train me - time, patience & unconditional love is a must for me to turn out a happy, well-balanced dog!

Want to know more about how you teach a pup to be a great dog? I'd like to do training every day so that I learn the commands of sit, stay, come, down, no, stop and leave it. And once I've learnt them, I need to keep practicing them every day too. That way I'll learn to obey what you tell me to do. Being consistent and clear with your boundaries will mean I always know the right way to behave. Getting out to exercise at least once a day (and twice for working dog breeds) is vital to stimulate my brain and body. It creates important opportunities for me to meet strangers, other dogs and other animals, plus it tires me out! Tell me ""no"" if I'm chewing something I shouldn't and give me a chew toy instead. I'd love to have a range of chew toys that you can swap around so I don't get bored with them.
