About Squid
Squid
Squid is a very playful Labrador X,Staffy
He is extremely happy to see you and appreciates all the time you offer him. He loves showing how much he cares and follows you wherever you go. He responds well to commands has made great progress in such limited time. He walks well and even takes his lead out to prompt you for a walk. Squid enjoys spending time with our two kids playing fetch or just running around the backyard, he loves tug of war and has always greeted our visitors politely.
As lot of puppies his age, he is a little nippy and will need reminding to be gentle. He loves to hangout and is extremely grateful for human connection.
Squid can be a little mouthy so will need a firm experienced home to correct this over time
Squid’s foster family consists of a female Maltese X (aged 10) who lives inside (he likes jumping over her), a male cat (was not too bothered by each other), two children (aged 5 & 9) and two adults. He has shown playful, cheeky affection to all of us equally and is happy to sit or follow us around curiously.
He has been sleeping outside and is yet to enjoy the pleasures of being an inside dog (we’d prefer this to be his final family’s decision!).
Squid has great energy, he does really want to be an inside dog, with some etiquette training he will be amazing. He does not bark much he does occasionally scratch at doors. He will whimper a little at the door when he needs to pee/poo or wants someone to come play. He loves chewing on bones, toys, balls and other brain stimulating activities to demonstrate his intelligence. He is extremely quiet when he plays alone and gets super excited with company. He is the best kind of canine companion and would love to live with a family that is home often, preferably with Kids over the age of ten as he’s a little mouthy/grabby. He might even love a female companion at the similar size to play rough and tumble.
