About Jack ~ Cattle Dog (on trial 13/10/19)
Hi my name's Jack and gosh I love life! I'm a 2.5 year old Stumpy Cattle Dog which means I've got a short face, short legs and a short tail. My foster mum calls me a little nugget, and I like nuggets so I think that's a good thing!
I love to hang out and play with my foster brother Hank but I get even more excited when humans are around too! I don't have much of a tail, but you'll still be able to tell when I'm happy because I shake my whole backside instead. I can be a little timid when you first meet me, but that's only because I'm wary of strangers and like to be protective of my space and parents, but after a few sniffs I'll let you pat me. Take me for a walk and pat me/cuddle me several times a day and I’ll be a happy boy. I get lonely pretty easily so I'd love to have a doggy sibling or kids to play with to keep me company during the day while you're at work. Or even better, how about I come to work with you?
I respond to my name, I can sit, and I know what my bed is and that’s where I go when I’m allowed inside. If you ask nicely, I’ll even shake your hand. I'm still learning not to jump up when I first see my foster parents in the morning, so I may not ok around young children. I'll need to be part of a family who has time to continue my training on this. I have dinner manners, and will wait to be told to eat before devouring my meal.
To be honest, all I really want is someone who will love me, pat me and give me cuddles. Anything else is a bonus.
