Norbit is still a sweet, goofy pup at 8 months even though he looks well developed. He is around the size of a dalmatian or a full size kelpie. Norbit has a big appetite but remains a very lean build despite our best efforts and his. His coat is like mink and doesn't shed. He does have two different colour eyes which are stunning. This condition is heterochromia and it is not unusual in the Dalmatian breed and does not affect sight or eye health.
Norbit's best friend in foster care is a tiny terrier pup and they love to play rough and cuddle endlessly. Norbit still needs to learn manners with older larger dogs but his intentions are always friendly and affectionate.
Norbit needs help to feel safe on the lead, going down stairs and getting in the car. He needs a firm hand to guide him and once he's confident he'll be a perfect dog for socialising in cafes, parks etc. We suspect he was just a backyard dog and not taken on the lead when younger. You can see in the video posted that he would rather risk a swipe from the cat than come down the stairs on the lead.
Norbit is house trained and has not been destructive in an active environment which is surprising for his age.
Norbit would be best suited to a home with another dog of any size, and with an owner who is ready to be patient with him as he learns the rewards of the lead.
