About Alice
Hello my name is Alice. I'm a sweet and loving pup, despite a very rough start in life. You might have seen me on social media in the beautiful photo with the Police Officer. Her Police Officer partner found me walking the streets of Broome when I was skin and bone and on death's door. I was taken to Broome Vet before the very kind Policeman fostered me and took me home. No-one claimed me from the rangers, so now SAFE is looking for a home for me and in the meantime, I am being very spoilt by him and my foster mummy. I can't stay with them though because my new foster dog-brother doesn't like me much. But my carers have made me feel so happy and loved that I know I'm going to have an awesome time with whoever adopts me :)
I love nothing more than being snuggled lots and my food. I think this is because I hadn't had much food before. But I'm making up for lost time now! My coat is actually black and white. I'm patchy at the moment like so many pups who don't have the best start. But soon it will have all regrown and be glossy :)
I'm looking for a loving home with or without other pets as I love to play.
WHAT A PUPPY NEEDS!
I'd like to do training every day so that I learn the commands of sit, stay, come, down, no, stop and leave it. And once I've learnt them, I need to keep practicing them every day too. That way I'll learn to obey what you tell me to do. Being consistent and clear with your boundaries will mean I always know the right way to behave. Getting out to exercise at least once a da is vital to stimulate my brain and body. It creates important opportunities for me to meet strangers, other dogs and other animals, plus it tires me out! Tell me ""no"" if I'm chewing something I shouldn't and give me a chew toy instead. I'd love to have a range of chew toys that you can swap around so I don't get bored with them.""
MY SIZE WHEN I'M ALL GROWN UP
It's hard to know with rescue pups and mixed breed pups exactly how big they'll grow to, so SAFE estimates our eventual size. After all the years they've been around, they're pretty good at it! I still look small for my age, but I didn't have much food before, so I'll probably have a growth spurt now. Regardless of how big I grow, I'm a super cute girl!
I CAN FLY TO PERTH!
Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations, because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to you in Perth for around $150 airfare.
