About Roxy ~ Staffy X Ridgeback (on trial 30/9/19)
Hi my name is Roxy and I am a 14 week old Staffy X Ridgeback female puppy. I’m a ball of energy and love nothing more than playing outside with my foster brothers. My foster mum calls me a real sweetheart.
I haven’t had the best start in life before coming into care, and I didn’t really know what it meant to be a part of a family or even know what love was. My foster mum is teaching me what love, cuddles and playing is all about. I will need to go to a family that understands that I may be a bit timid and scared at first but once you earn my trust, I’ll be your best friend and sidekick!
I learnt how to use a doggy door on the first night I was in care and I haven’t had an accident yet. I currently sleep in a crate, in my foster mum’s room. I’m still waking up twice in the night to go to the toilet. My foster mum says I’m food orientated but I don’t really know what that means, I just see food and want to eat it!
I’ll grow up to be a large dog and I would need to attend puppy training classes and have continued training. I would love to go to a home with another dog, particularly if my new family work full-time. I’m learning to be friends with other dogs and I’m trying really hard to learn that not all humans will hurt me.
I need to be welcomed inside when people are home and be allowed to be involved in my new family’s life. A home with children older than 8 would be great. You will need good fencing with no small gaps, unfortunately rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire) is not suitable.
I can’t wait to meet my forever family!
